Going natural is actually a big thing nowadays. People have their eyes slowly being opened to the reality of using chemicals in their daily lives. According to thousands of sources both in the books and online, the impact of chemicals in our daily lives, though minute in each use, is polluting our bodies and our environment. Some go directly in to our system, some are just left on our skin and on our hair.
Our houses are filled with dangerous chemicals and you wouldn't even know its there. The leather in your shoes and bags, before they get to bag and shoe makers, the leather has to be chemically treated to attain its useability. The paint you used in your walls, the varnish coating in your wood furniture, the color pens that children use. Not to mention the most obvious ones, the insecticides, oven cleaners, dishwashing liquids, the detergents used for washing clothes, the shampoo you use on your hair and the bath products used in showers. All of these things contain non-biodegradable material that are potentially dangerous to our fragile human bodies. Just looking at the label of a particular product, you'd find that ingredients list are quite uncomfortable to read.
All people of all countries both the first world up to the third world countries, even the Philippines, are susceptible to these exposure. Its because these chemicals are cheap and they make our lives a lot easier. There's also a notion that it makes manufacturers and other businesses earn more money because of these chemicals. Honestly, they aren't bad since its present everywhere. A part of us are chemicals, the food that we eat under go chemical reactions inside us, in fact, the human body can also be compared to a biological chemical factory. The only difference is, what we produce are either used up by our bodies or our environment. A lot of industrially produced chemicals are proven to be very resilient to being broken down. Plastics, synthetic rubber, and many others, technology to properly recycle these things are yet to be discovered. So with things like this going on, it takes a toll on our delicate bodies. Hundreds of diseases and conditions grew exponentially, afflicting humanity. And many recommend going back to our old ways, going all natural.
We all have to start somewhere in preferring natural stuff. A very easy place to start from would be the bath products.
Most cleansing products in the Philippines are technically called detergents. Its cheap, easy to make and true enough, efficient in making stuff clean. To make stuff simple, your beauty bar or shower gel is most likely a bar of hardened chemicals or a bottle of chemical cocktail. Real soaps are almost out of the picture. Its because real soaps are expensive to make, much more the all natural ones. A bar of natural soap is three or four times the price of a beauty bar, a bottle of natural liquid soap ranges around the same range. In a country known for its preference for small and thrifty purchases, high priced items are definitely hard to sell.
When you search online for " natural products in the Philippines," getting a clear idea of it isn't appearing much. When you search for "natural soaps in the Philippines," chances are you won't find a good resource because most don't really care much about it and the natural products aren't readily available. Although currently, its more promising because more and more natural products are becoming available, especially natural soaps.
The benefits of natural soaps are plenty. They are 100% biodegradable (unless they contain some additives) so you help the environment. They are very close to the raw materials they're made of, meaning if olive oil was used in making the soap, it still retains the great moisturizing properties of olive oil. Natural soaps nourish the skin best because of the nutrients left after saponification are readily absorbed. Well made natural soaps are safe to use on infants and children because of their chemical-free and gentle nature. The fact is, they're immensely healthy.
